SECTION 00010 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION (OWNER) will receive proposals through Codell Construction Company (CM) to furnish all labor and materials to complete the BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL at 2109 E. HIGHWAY 60, HARNED, KY 40144. Work is to be performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and addenda prepared by SHERMAN CARTER BARNHART (ARCHITECT/CIVIL ENGINEER), CMTA CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC. (MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER), SHERMAN CARTER BARNHART (CIVIL ENGINEER), and SHERMAN CARTER BARNHART (STRUCTURAL ENGINEER).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Owner can be served. Bid opening will be public, and contracts will be with the Owner.

A complete set of Drawings, Specifications, and the project manual requires a refundable deposit of $350.00 payable to BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION. Plans and specifications are also available for electronic download at no charge. A check in the amount of $350.00 will be returned only if a bona fide bid is submitted and the Drawings and Specifications, including the Project Manual, are returned, prepaid, in good condition within 7 days after the bids are opened; otherwise, no refund will be due. . If Drawings and Specifications are to be mailed, arrangements must be made with LYNN IMAGING @ 859-255-1021. Cost of mailing is to be paid for by the Bidder.

Bids will be due by July 09, 2020 at 2:00 PM CENTRAL TIME and will be opened VIA ONLINE SUBMISSION THROUGH LYNN IMAGING AND CODELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OFFICE. DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT WILL BE INCLUDED IN ADDENDUM. Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. No Bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
If a bidder wishes to mail a bid, it should be mailed to: JOHN HAGAN CODELL, PROJECT MANAGER, CODELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, 4475 ROCKWELL ROAD, WINCHESTER KY 40391. If bid is mailed, it must be received prior to July 09, 2020 at 2:00 PM CENTRAL TIME. Facsimile bids will NOT be allowed. Bids received after the deadline will not be opened.
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM at VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS MEETING. DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS TO ATTTEND WILL BE INCLUDED IN ADDENDUM. All bidders are urged to attend this meeting.
The Project is to be complete within 12 months from date of the official Notice to Proceed, and liquidated damages are $1,000.00/day thereafter, if the completion date is not met. Successful Bidders are required to furnish a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for this Project.
