BARDSTOWN CITY SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION (OWNER) will receive proposals through Codell Construction Company (CM) to furnish all labor and materials to complete the BARDSTOWN INDEPENDENT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL located at 1345 TEMPLIN AVENUE, BARDSTOWN, KY 40004. Work is to be performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and addenda prepared by SHERMAN CARTER BARNHART (ARCHITECT/CIVIL ENGINEER), CMTA CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC. (MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER), and SHERMAN CARTER BARNHART (STRUCTURAL ENGINEER).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Owner can be served. Bid opening will be public, and contracts will be with the Owner.

A complete set of Drawings, Specifications, and the project manual requires a refundable deposit of $440.00 payable to BARDSTOWN CITY SCHOOLS. A check in the amount of $440.00 will be returned only if a bona fide bid is submitted and the Drawings and Specifications, including the Project Manual, are returned, prepaid, in good condition within 7 days after the bids are opened; otherwise, no refund will be due. Electronic downloads are available for free. If Drawings and Specifications are to be mailed, arrangements must be made with LYNN IMAGING @ 859-255-1021. Cost of mailing is to be paid for by the Bidder.

Bids will be due by June 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM. This project will utilize electronic bid submission through Lynn Imaging. Those contractors that ordered plans through Lynn Imaging can submit their bid(s) from their account on the project page. If you did not obtain plans through Lynn Imaging please contact them if you wish to submit your bid electronically to set up an account. Please note in the comments section which bid packages you are submitting on. Additionally, hard copy bids can be dropped off or mailed to Codell Construction prior to the bid deadline. 4475 Rockwell Road, Winchester, KY 40391 Each bid must be accompanied by a 5% Bid Bond. The bid will be submitted in duplicate on copies of the Form of Proposal located in the Project Manual. Both copies of the Form of Proposal and Bid Bond shall be placed in a manila envelope and have the Project and Bid Package number affixed. No Bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids received after the deadline will not be opened.
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for May 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at VIA ONLINE MEETING. Instructions to attend will be made available via addendum. All bidders are urged to attend this meeting.
The Project is to be complete within 18 months from the date of the official Notice to Proceed, and liquidated damages are $1,000.00/day thereafter, if the completion date is not met. Successful Bidders are required to furnish a 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for this Project.
