Shelby County High School Renovation & Addition

The Shelby County High School Renovation & Addition was comprised of a total renovation of all existing spaces, featuring a two-story addition at the front of building and a small one-story addition of classrooms. HVAC, lighting, technology, plumbing, ADA compliance, safety and security upgrades were made to sections of the building originally built in 1962 and 1990. Work also included renovating the Agriculture and Carpentry Labs, Chorus Room, Standard Classrooms and other spaces to meet current program guidelines and needs. The site was developed to be conducive to a 1500 student capacity school. Updates were made to displaced site features to accommodate new HVAC components and added spaces. Renovations were also completed on technology and flexible learning spaces to accommodate the needs of 21st Century Learners. The high school’s athletic facilities also received updates including new track and practice facilities, as well as a field house at the adjacent Milestone Campus to replace the displaced track at Shelby County High School. Milestone Road was extended to connect to the new track.
