Magoffin County Career & Tech Center

The Magoffin County CTE is a 30,430 SF Career and Technical Education Center Addition to the existing high school. Construction consisted of caisson and grade beam foundations with CMU bearing walls. The second floor consists of hollow core concrete planks with roof structure being steel beams, joists and decking. The roof consists of a metal roof panel type system to match the existing building. A mechanical mezzanine houses all the mechanical and electrical systems for the building. Finishes consist of polished concrete, K-13 insulation, epoxy painted walls and resinous epoxy floors. Trade programs created within the building include Carpentry, Welding, Electrical, Criminology and IT.
